light, bright and airy, this house offers just the right dose of natural light and colour to engender a contemporary modern tropical feel. Initially, the existing spaces were all closed up which created a very dark and claustrophobic environment. to open up the space, the windows were replaced with large glazing to bring in natural light and fresh air. the landscape was also transformed into a laid-back outdoor space to foster a greener surrounding for the home. from here, green views are brought in through the glass backsplash in the kitchen which looks out to the garden.

inside, the living spaces exude a clean and scandinavian-inspired look dominated by shades of white. everything is subtle and soft to maintain a comfortable yet sophisticated ambience throughout the home. soft lighting was used, and even in the kids’ room, the space was designed with a modern and minimal touch to complement the main concept. however, to break the monotony of the neutral tones, there are pops of colour to accentuate the interior, giving it a vibrant appeal at the same time.
