Southsea Chinese Restaurant

Located within an old kampung house which was raised above the ground on stilts, this restaurant was designed to offer patrons a cosy dining experience within a unique and modern tropical setting. The site proved to be quite a challenge as the space was small and cramp. Thus, structural changes to the original building were required, including repairing the roof so that the space appears larger.

For the interior, solid wood finishing takes the lead, complemented by a selection of carefully sourced authentic pieces to achieve a Malay kampung-inspired setting. Decorative details like the bamboo woven ceiling panels and pendant lights infuse an elegant touch to the overall ambience, while keeping the stylistic theme consistent.
